Two sisters.
One brutal murder.
A quest for vengeance that will unleash Hell itself…
And an intoxicating romance.
Emilia and her twin sister Vittoria are streghe – witches who live secretly among humans, avoiding notice and persecution. One night, Vittoria misses dinner service at the family’s renowned Sicilian restaurant. Emilia soon finds the body of her beloved twin…desecrated beyond belief. Devastated, Emilia sets out to find her sister’s killer and to seek vengeance at any cost—even if it means using dark magic that’s been long forbidden.
Then Emilia meets Wrath, one of the Wicked—princes of Hell she has been warned against in tales since she was a child. Wrath claims to be on Emilia’s side, tasked by his master with solving the series of women’s murders on the island. But when it comes to the Wicked, nothing is as it seems..
“One day you’ll call me Death.
For now, Wrath will do.”

OVERALL MINI REVIEW
I’m so excited to start the series. I’ve been waiting for ages for the completed trilogy. I’ve seen this book literally everywhere and there are lots of positive reviews for the series.
So, when the third and last installment has been released, I don’t think anyone could stop me from purchasing the series. Like I don’t even care what this book is about. It’s a fanstasy, have an intriguing cover which I love and tons of positive reviews and spice. Bring me in fellas.
I love the concept. Emilia and Vittoria, beloved twins that are raised and born in a loving family. I love the hint of magic this book has already introduced, quite so early in the book, in Kingdom Of The Wicked.
When Emilia found out some bad occurence has happened to Violetta, she vow to avenge her sister and found herself sold her soul and join forces with Prince of Wrath. Thus, off they embark the journey to Seven Circles.
I truly love the concept and the ideas. It’s dark and it’s seductive. The kind of stories that has a deep mystery to uncover, heavy plot lines, feelings and seductive characters.
At first, I’m giddy for the story. Because Emilia and The Prince of Wrath crossed path quite early in the book. However, upon reading, I don’t think there’s much to say about the flow?
In fact, I don’t really understand myself about this book (ಥ _ʖಥ) Upon finishing the first book, I think the potential is there. Like the concept, the characters, the world building and all are the kind of things I would love to read in a fantasy setting.
But as much as I tried hard to love the book, I don’t think it’s been delivered well. The one and only thing I’m excited for, is Wrath.
Also, personally, I don’t event understand what are they bantering about half of the times (ಥ _ʖಥ) And I find it hard to read many self-discrimination and self-blaming thoughts. And the hardest part for me, is upon reading, I realized this book is more about telling and not showing.
Like we learn things from the dialogue, not from the circumstances nor the characteristics. So personally, I think it’s more about reading feelings? rather than feeling the feels.
Truthfully, I had almost drop the series after finishing the first book. But I think giving another try might be somehow worth the shot.
Moving on to Kingdom Of The Cursed, the second installment, I think the series improved a lot. Like, a lot. The deliverance was quite okay and I find myself rather enjoying the book.
Also, the spice. It’s not even possible mentioning it here. I need my holy life back. So, I’m gonna keep it here. Thank You.
Even though the second installment has improved a lot, I still think there are still some draggy scenario. But I don’t mind it that much, I still finished the second book in two days. Yay!
Okay so the third book. Kingdom Of The Feared. Hm. I’m thinking how should I explain my thoughts about it.
It has a pretty similar dynamic to the second book, with additional, things are starting to heat up, answers arising and finally a clear and solved mystery. Like, finally.
The third book is also okay for me. Maybe because it doesn’t keep us in the dark anymore and mysteries are solved one by one.
And, as a personal opinion, I don’t think this series need to be trilogy to solved all those mystery. It’s not that complicated and it doesn’t have to be that long.
Also, rather than mystery, conflic and whatever is there the main purpose of the book, I sometimes think the purpose this book exist is due to Wrath and Emilia relationship. Or spice. Yep. I said it.
This trilogy is about their story, their struggle, their journey and love-conquer-all kind of things. I’m not that invested in their relationship either, but it’s a joy to the heart to see them both in a frame.
All in all, I think the conclusion are quite satisfying for me. Maybe I’m in unpopular opinion with the book, but I would love for you to try reading the series first. See if this is your cup of tea. Happy reading!
