Reading is best when you are literally alone. Absorbing the stories with no distraction at all. Peaceful mind, peaceful reads. Until, realization hits and I kind of notice there are things that eventually becomes my habit which I believe, happen to some readers out there too. So, let’s see if we match?
1. Making Weird Noises.
Now don’t you deny me. Believe me. I know what I mean by weird noises. Half chocking-inhumane and airy voices that come out deep inside of my throat. The trigger? Waaay too many to describe. Mostly would be my forever favourite ships are blooming so beautifully that it hurts to read or the plot are getting more excited than it already has. Anyway, the sequel to the weird noises should be…
2. More Weird Actions.
More weird actions and more weird noises. I would squeal and toss and turn in my bed before I worship the book. Book on the bed. Right hand on the cover. Left hand on my heart. My mum would always give me I will disown you stare from across the room and I would said Okay, I’ll stop. Sitting down processing what I have just read, grinning like an idiot, squeak a little and start to read. Again. And so, the saga continues..
3. Weep Silently.
Well.. I don’t even know how to explain this, but one moment I was okay and the next, I will weep over a line or two. People often ask what’s so exciting about a book? This. Is one of the many reasons. Not that because I love to weep, but I love how enchanting and heartwarming those scenes could make me feel.
4. Sleep with books.
This is normal for book lovers. Sleeping with a book or two is a minor issue, very normal and very logical. Bed is a perfect substitute for my bookshelf. I used to sleep with a tower of books on my bed before I bought the new bookshelf since I don’t have any space left to store my babies. Kind of extreme but it’s effective. Just saying..
Well? Is this you?
