Do your read classic? I love classic. I read numerous classic and I can’t help but to love them all. Their story are original and It’s totally worth the time. My motto: you should read classic at least once in your life. Kidding. But seriously, you should read classic.
I know I’m sprouting nonsense, but this is just me being me.
Here are random five classics recommendations:
1. Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
What’s so enchanting about Black Beauty? Moreover, a book with horses as the narrator in the story. Well, the journey, pain, effort and spirit of live is what makes me fall in love with this book. The story begins as the horse live a carefree life and one day, he has to struggles to survive the cruel world. He learns not all humans are kind and witness lots of things that changed his view forever. Here’s the journey of Black Beauty in finding his own happiness.
2. Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
I read this classic via E-book and I love it! Four sisters with four different characteristics and preferences. Growing up together, March sisters lives through financial shortages, family issues, romantic rivalries and many other issues that lead them to be more mature as time goes by. The story was told in Civil War era which truly shows their struggles, effort and love in building life full of happiness and hope.
3. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
Looking for heart endearing modern classic read? To Kill a Mockingbird should be your choice. With kids as the main protagonist in the story, the tomboy Scout, protective bother Jem and playmates Dill, they brought you to see the roots of human behavioural in a small town called Maycomb.
4. Pride and Prejudice
A must read romance classic. The story follows a brave and brilliant lady, Elizabeth Bennet as the main protagonist of the story. Amongst all sisters, she has closer sisterhood relationship to Jane Bennet, who also takes part in the story with her own romantic interest. If you have ever wonder about the existence and the popularity of Mr. Darcy, I command you to read this book. End of discussion.
5. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
To be honest, the book is not that old to be considered as classic since it’s published in the early May 2004. But the story. The story made this book deserves to be counted as classic. I live for this heart-wrenching story and I can’t help but to cry. The story of a wealthy boy and the son of his father’s servant. Amir and Hassan. Two boys with two very different life and luck. Definitely must read.
