The new psychological thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Accident, The Lie and The Missing.

“Look after your daughter’s things. And your daughter…”

When a stranger asks Jo Blackmore for a lift she says yes, then swiftly wishes she hadn’t.

The stranger knows Jo’s name, she knows her husband Max and she’s got a glove belonging to Jo’s two year old daughter Elise.

What begins with a subtle threat swiftly turns into a nightmare as the police, social services and even Jo’s own husband turn against her.

No one believes that Elise is in danger. But Jo knows there’s only one way to keep her child safe – RUN.

This book is definitely insane. Even the first chapter has been so nerve-wrecking when a stranger had asked Jo to look after her daughter’s things. Oh my god. I can’t believe the threat is already on the first chapter of the book. Confused and scared, Jo tells his husband about what just happened and he believes her. At first. With the stranger keeps on coming back to Jo but never really harm her, people starts to doubt her. She is even accused of harming Elise – her beloved child. Now, for saving her daughter, Jo has to move fast and far away from her hometown.

The story is gripping, thrilling and full of suspense. I can imagined this being played as a movie because it’s  so real and the plot is amazing. The book always fast pace and never failed to make me curious to find out more. I even want to jump to the last page for my curiosity to find out the true purpose of the stranger. I am definitely blown away. This book is truly absorbing and disturbing in a good way. It’s not a page turner but it indeed grasp you with the plot and it makes you feel intrigued and at the same time afraid to find out the next part of the story.
