Vincent Starrett – ‘ When We Are Collecting Books, We Are Collecting Happiness ‘

Vincent Starett – ‘When we are collecting books,we are collecting happiness.’

I love to collect books. Well, I bet every readers do love to collect books. Collecting books are one of the most exciting hobbies for readers. It somewhat gives us proud feelings to be able to read and to collect those thick books. Not to mention, I am super happy if I manage to buy a book with eye catching covers and quality content. Collecting books are one of the many things I am proud of the most.

I love to find new reads because that means I got to have another book collections to be proud of. I even have books way beyond my bookshelf. Right now, I don’t even know where to store the rest of my books because my bookshelf and drawer are all full of books and there are not enough capacity to store the rest of them while I keep buying books every month. Quite depressing but I’m still doing it anyway.

As I said, collecting books may be fun but it doesn’t mean all of my source of happiness come solely from the books. It’s true I love to read but I also love moments. For me, there are moments that can’t be bought by money or to be enjoy by reading. There are those small moments that is not that important but is very memorable. Memories that are hard to be forgotten. There are times where the scenario just pops in your head and replay all of the memories. Those memories will made you feel lots of feelings. Warmth, anger, sadness, longing and so much more. As the time passed, those memories and feelings will forged you to be a stronger version of yourself. That’s what makes me love moments. Lost in a book and living the moments doesn’t seem so bad right?
